Jessie & Laurent is a regional meal delivery service in the SF Bay area. As J&L geared up for growth, they were hungry for a better understanding of their current customers and their purchase motivations. With a deeper understanding of their customers, J&L believed they could create more targeted messages and more relevant products and services.
To provide this insight, SIM created a research project using an online research platform that gathered people together virtually in order to learn usage information, make behavioral observation, and gain consumer insights through interactive discussion among participants and a moderator. This research technique allowed respondents to read and respond to questions, react to discussions among participants, post images and retrieve or send files over a 3 day period. |
Summary of success |
The research gave Jessie & Laurent a deeper understanding of their various consumer segments and their corresponding needs states. It also gave them important consumer feedback on their operations along with constructive ways to improve their service offering.
