THRIVE Jerky


This is no cowboy jerky. This is jerky for those on a mission of mindful eating! 

Derby City Meats had created an innovative sugar free jerky using Stevia. In fact, they were the first brand to win USDA approval for the use of Stevia on meat products. To leverage this innovation, Derby City wanted to create a new brand that appealed to the large and growing group of health & wellness consumers.

​Our work began with a deep dive  into category trends and the product landscape. We then  developed a marketing strategy and a target consumer profile that was the springboard for brand identity and the  package design brief. We then brought the brand to life through logo design, product packaging design and website design. Next, we developed a Shopify site and created an assortment of sales & marketing materials including press releases, sales sheets, trade show materials, etc.

Summary of our success

The THRIVE Jerky brand was enthusiastically received at Expo East when it launched in June of 2019. In just 6 months, the THRIVE brand has gained distribution in 242 Meijer Grocery Stores and dozens of regional C-stores. Currently testing in Costco
